Southwest Airlines
Pets are not allowed on Southwest Airlines, a Dallas-based airline, but two checked bags are free. On their flights, Southwest charges $125 for each pet carrier.
As long as they are in an authorized carrier and measure no more than 18.5 inches in length, 8.5 inches in height, and 13.5 inches in width, dogs and cats are permitted to ride beneath seats.
There are some restrictions for pet owners traveling with Southwest:

Southwest Airlines pet flying policy allows up to six pets on board. No further passengers may add a pet companion to their reservation once six pets have been confirmed for the journey.
United Airlines
Pets travel with United for $125 per way. Service animals travel free on United flights, but they do need to fill out some paperwork ahead of time.
The carrier has to fit under a seat, and depending on the kind of aircraft, there may be different restrictions on where passengers can sit.
Pet owners, for instance, are not permitted to sit in the emergency rows. Should you choose to travel with two pets (the maximum allowed), two seats must be reserved.
Delta Airlines
As long as they can fit within a carrier kept beneath the seat, small dogs and cats are allowed to fly on Delta Air Lines.
Although the airline advises a soft-sided carrier no bigger than 18 inches long by 11 inches tall by 11 inches wide, the size of the carrier varies depending on the aircraft.
The pet must be tiny enough to fit inside the carrier, which has three sides with air ports, and must be at least eight weeks old.
Pets flying as carry-on passengers are subject to a $95 fee by Delta, and each passenger is only allowed to bring one personal item. Certain seats, including those in the emergency evacuation row, cannot be reserved for travel with an animal.
American Airlines
Like all other airlines, American Airlines is also advised to take soft-sided carriers that are 18 inches long and 11 inches tall and wide.
You can carry your cat and dogs traveling on an airline in carry-on-bags if the pet owner keeps them in the seat before him or her for the whole duration. On a domestic American Airlines flight, a carry-on pet costs $150.
Except for service animals, there can only be seven carry-on dogs each flight.
On American Eagle flights, there can only be five carry-on pets total, one of which can be brought into first class. Service animals traveling on American flights are not charged, however the airline does need advance form completion.
Spirit, JetBlue, Frontier and Alaska
Spirit airlines and their pet flying policy accept pets such as dogs and cats for travel at $125, but it is not bigger than 8 inches long by 14 inches broad and 9 inches tall. Both the weight of the pet and the carrier are not more than 40 pounds.
For a one-way cost of $125, small dogs and cats can travel on JetBlue in authorized carriers. On JetBlue flights, pets are permitted up to six.
As long as the animal fits in a carrier, Frontier will allow pets on board for a $99 cost each trip.
On Alaska Airlines, passengers have to pay 100 dollars to carry pets and a carry-on-bag or a carrier with personal items.
Private or Charter flights

Well, there is a special dog-friendly flight known as BarkAir. This offers flights between New York and Los Angeles as well as New York and London.
After paying $6,000 dollars, dogs and their owners can easily travel on a BarkAir flight. Dogs are allowed to sit on laps, seats, or beds; carriers are not necessary.
